I honestly can't recommend them, at least as a first time experience, and especially for seeing the story. I know Musou Games and I like to play them from time to time or should I relie more on Berserk inspired games like the Souls Games and Dragons Dogma? I read that Berserk and the Band of the Hawk is basically the Golden Age Arc and the Falcon of the millennium empire combined and retells those stories.
